About Family NFTs

About us

We are a Dutch/Italian family of five, living on the small Caribbean island of Curaçao. We are quite a creative bunch: Our eldest daughter Sara enjoys drawing and has created her own NFT collection Classy Teens. Our son Luca uses his visual fantasies and humor to create great ideas for characters and stories (more about this later) and he builds the most amazing things out of cardboard. Our youngest daughter Elisa also enjoys drawing and coloring and she is still developing her skills. :-) My husband is a software engineer who built a tool to bring some of our NFT projects to life and manages our social media platforms. He also created some pixel art like the Pig Punks Collection. I myself am well versed in illustrations, digital art and photography and my kids are my biggest inspiration.

Our story

I can’t recall exactly how we got involved in NFT’s. I remember my husband being enthusiastic about it and he encouraged us to get involved too. He felt that creating NFT projects could combine our skills and talents together as a family in creating unique projects. Almost everyone in our family has been diagnosed with either ADHD or Autism (or both). It seems to be a family trait. :-) We all have been struggling at some point in our life, feeling we could not live up to our own/or other people’s expectations in school or careerwise. My husband felt that creating NFT’s could empower us in bringing out the best of us, and especially have a positive influence in developing a good sense of self esteem for our kids, since negative experiences and struggles in school made them feel insecure about themself. We are especially so proud of our daughter Sara. She was struggling in school and she felt she wasn’t smart. We felt terrible as parents that she felt that way about herself, because she is just such an amazing and talented kid. By drawing and selling enough NFT’s, she was able to buy herself a Wacom drawing tablet. We just love this amazing supporting NFT community we got to discover and feel proud we can take part in this experience.
